X-ray unit for Turtle Island

Did you know that 60% of turtle species have either already gone extinct or are on the brink of extinction? 10 turtle (sub)species have gone extinct in recent years already.

To counteract this sad development the breeding and rescue center Turtle Island was founded in Graz, Austria.

We are more than happy to support this project by donating a GIERTH X-Ray unit HFX90V, which has been delivered to the facilities of Turtle Island in February 2020. We hope this will help examining endangered turtle species and other animals in the center.

“Turtle Island combines a scientifically-managed conservation breeding center, including attractive and modern public displays, with indigenous landscapes, creative art, research, education and recreation.” By donating this X-ray unit, we want to support and enhance these goals.
